Objetivo Conocer el grado de burnout en residentes MIR/PIR de Oviedo y su relación con factores laborales y docentes.
Diseño Se realizó un estudio descriptivo transversal.
Emplazamiento Área Sanitaria IV de Asturias.
Participantes Residentes de medicina y psicología clínica en formación en 2016.
Mediciones Se les administró el Inventario de Burnout de Maslach (MBI) y un cuestionario elaborado ad hoc sobre cuestiones referidas a aspectos laborales y docentes como la responsabilidad, la supervisión, etc.
Resultados Respondieron 90 residentes (29,5%) y se obtuvo un alto nivel de burnout en el 50% (IC 95%: 39,3-60,7), encontrando diferencias según la especialidad, y su relación con algunos de los factores laborales estudiados como la supervisión, ajuste de responsabilidad y calidad de vida e impacto emocional.
Conclusiones Existe un nivel medio alto de burnout entre los residentes.
Objective To determine the level of burnout in residents in clinic psychology and medicine (MIR/PIR) of Oviedo and its relationship with occupational and teaching factors.
Design A cross-sectional descriptive study was performed.
Site Health Area IV of Asturias, Spain.
Participants Residents of medicine and clinical psychology in training in 2016.
Measurements The subjects were administered the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and an ad hoc questionnaire prepared on issues related to occupational and teaching aspects, such as responsibility, supervision, etc.
Results A total of 90 (29.5%) residents responded, and a high level of burnout was obtained in 50% (95% CI: 39.3-60.7). Differences were found according to the speciality, and their relationship with some of the studied occupational factors studied, such as supervision, adjustment of responsibility, and quality of life and emotional impact.
