One hour from the city of Lisbon is the town of Montemor-o-Novo (Monte-Mayor the New), which has the peculiarity of being the birthplace of San Juan de Dios. I have spent many times next to the white Alentejo farmhouse, which shows its rocky castle as a bulwark of what was undoubtedly in the border times of the conquest, but this time I decided to stop to know the place where the house where his childhood lived Juan Ciudad, which today is a parish church, the main one of the town. It was a foggy morning at the end of December, not very prone to photography, but enough to provoke the traveler. Here I tell my impressions about one of the most unique places in Portugal.
