Introducción: El idioma guaraní es hablado por la mayoría de la población paraguaya, representa una de la identidad nacional por ser la lengua materna y declama la comunicación de confianza de todo el pueblo, por esos hechos el uso del idioma guaraní en el ambiente hospitalario es imprescindible para poder comunicarse con los pacientes y lograr una atención integral real. La investigación tiene como objetivo determinar nivel de comunicación de estudiantes universitarios con pacientes guaraní hablantes. Facultad Pública. San Lorenzo – Paraguay. 2023. Metodología: La metodología fue observacional, descriptivo, de corte transversal, con enfoque cuantitativo. El universo estuvo constituido por 150 estudiantes matriculados de la carrera de obstetricia, la muestra fue conformada por 87 estudiantes, muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. El método fue la encuesta, técnica encuesta, instrumento un cuestionario de preguntas abiertas y cerradas en base a las variables identificadas. Una vez recolectada la información los datos fueron almacenados en una base de datos, del programa informático Microsoft Excel, y analizados por estadística descriptiva, los resultados están presentados en gráficos y tablas. En todo momento se tuvieron en cuenta los aspectos éticos. Resultados: Los hallazgos fueron: la mayoría de sexo femenino, de 20 a 25 años, con nacionalidad paraguaya, de lengua materna castellana, habla y entiende el idioma guaraní y con familia guaraní hablantes. Conclusión: Se concluye que el nivel de comunicación de los estudiantes de obstetricia con las usuarias guaraní hablante es de excelente a muy bueno, seguido de bueno, y una minoría insuficiente.
Introduction: The Guarani language is spoken by the majority of the Paraguayan population, it represents one of the national identity for being the mother tongue and declares the communication of trust of all the people, by those facts the use of the Guarani language in the hospital environment is essential to be able to communicate with patients and achieve a real comprehensive care. The research aims to determine the level of communication of university students with Guarani-speaking patients. Public School. San Lorenzo - Paraguay. 2023. Methodology: The methodology was observational, descriptive, cross-sectional, with a quantitative approach. The universe consisted of 150 students enrolled in the obstetrics career, the sample consisted of 87 students, non-probabilistic sampling by convenience. The method was the survey, survey technique, instrument a questionnaire of open and closed questions based on the identified variables. Once the information was collected, the data were stored in a database, Microsoft Excel software, and analyzed by descriptive statistics, the results are presented in graphs and tables. Ethical aspects were taken into account at all times. Results: The findings were: the majority were female, 20 to 25 years old, Paraguayan nationality, Spanish mother tongue, speak and understand the Guarani language and have Guarani-speaking families. Conclusion: It is concluded that the level of communication of midwifery students with Guarani-speaking clients is excellent to very good, followed by good, and a minority insufficient.
