El accidente cerebrovascular (ACV) o comúnmente llamado “ictus” sucede cuando el flujo de sangre que va hacia el cerebro es interrumpido, impidiendo la llegada de oxígeno y nutrientes a éste. Normalmente suele provocar daños permanentes en los pacientes que lo sufren.
El objetivo de este proceso de atención de enfermería es describir un caso clínico real de una paciente que ha sufrido un ACV recientemente y que ingresa en la residencia para que le ayuden a realizar las ABVD.
Se realiza una valoración integral según las necesidades de Virginia Henderson a la paciente al hacer el ingreso y durante su estancia en la residencia. Identificamos los distintos problemas que posee y se realiza un plan de cuidados enfermera.
Cerebrovascular accident (CVA) or commonly called «stroke» occurs when the blood flow to the brain is interrupted, preventing the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the brain. It usually causes permanent damage to the patients who suffer from it.
The objective of this nursing care process is to describe an actual clinical case of a patient who has recently suffered a stroke and is admitted to the nursing home for assistance with ABVD.
A comprehensive assessment according to Virginia Henderson’s needs is performed on the patient on admission and during her stay in the nursing home. We identify the different problems she has and a nursing care plan is made.
