Aunque el avance en cuanto a las técnicas utilizadas para su tratamiento ha sufrido un gran avance y ha supuesto un cambio en la recuperación del paciente y los resultados obtenidos, la necesidad de aplicar unos cuidados postoperatorios específicos que permitan obtener el efecto deseado continúa siendo una tarea necesaria.
