Se plantea un diagnóstico de enfermería hospitalaria de un varón de 75 años con gonartrosis derecha elevada y que va a ser intervenido de una prótesis total de rodilla (PTR). Planteamos una serie de objetivos a llevar a cabo en el pre y post operatorio y un protocolo de actuación elaborado en la planta séptima de traumatología del Hospital Universitario Miguel Servet.
Para ello llevaremos a cabo la realización de un proceso de atención de enfermería (PAE), el cual se encarga de elaborar un análisis de un paciente, centrándose en las necesidades según el modelo de Virginia Henderson y a través de ellas plantear unos diagnósticos enfermero, unas intervenciones y marcar unos objetivos a conseguir para hallar una mejoría del estado de salud del paciente desde su llegada en el ingreso hasta su salida o incluso en su vida postoperatoria1.
A hospital nursing diagnosis is made of a 75-year-old man with elevated right knee osteoarthritis who is going to undergo a total knee replacement (TKA). We will propose a series of objectives to be carried out in the pre- and post-operative period and an action protocol developed on the seventh traumatology floor of the Miguel Servet University Hospital.
To do this, we will carry out a nursing care process (PAE), which is responsible for developing an analysis of a patient, focusing on the needs according to the Virginia Henderson model and through them, proposing nursing diagnoses, interventions and set objectives to achieve to find an improvement in the patient’s health status from their arrival at admission to their departure or even in their postoperative life1.
