El mesotelioma maligno difuso, también llamado mesotelioma es un tumor poco frecuente pero muy agresivo. El primer factor de riesgo es la exposición al asbesto, por lo que será muy importante realizar una correcta historia clínica del paciente, debiendo sospechar esta enfermedad. Es importante conseguir un diagnóstico anatomopatológico, siendo la opción más rentable la biopsia con aguja gruesa guiada por prueba de imagen. El diagnóstico precoz es clave para poder conseguir un mejor pronóstico del paciente.
