La miomatosis se define como la presencia de miomas en el útero los cuales son tumores generalmente benignos. Se suelen ocasionar por alteraciones hormonales, varios factores del crecimiento y tiene mucha influencia genética.
Es la causa de tumores pélvicos más frecuentes en mujeres en edad reproductiva entre el 20-40%1.
