En 2019 apareció en China un nuevo virus llamado Sars-Cov-2, el cual causa una neumonía llamada Covid-19. Por la alta incidencia de casos y de mortalidad, acabó convirtiéndose en una pandemia mundial. La sintomatología de esta enfermedad va desde síntomas leves como fiebre y cansancio, hasta síntomas graves como la dificultad respiratoria aguda.
Desde el año 2020, se han ido introduciendo nuevos tratamientos y vacunas, los cuales han ayudado a reducir el número tanto de contagiados como de fallecidos por este virus.
In 2019, a new virus called Sars-Cov-2 appeared in China, which causes pneumonia called Covid-19. Due to the high incidence of cases and mortality, it ended up becoming a global pandemic. The symptoms of this disease range from mild symptoms such as fever and tiredness, to severe symptoms such as acute respiratory distress.
Since 2020, new treatments and vaccines have been introduced, which have helped to reduce the number of both infected and deaths from this virus.
