La paciente es vista en consulta de enfermería donde explica que se quemó con agua hirviendo que procedía de una olla a presión mientras estaba cocinando. En primer lugar, se lavó la herida con agua y jabón y posteriormente, se colocó pasta de dientes por recomendación de un familiar pensando que se le curaría. Pasadas 24 horas, la paciente experimenta dolor y ampollas en el brazo por lo que decide citarse con su enfermera de atención primaria para valoración.

The patient is seen in the nursing office where she explains that she was burned by boiling water that came from the pressure cooker while she was cooking. First of all, the wound was washed with soap and water and then toothpaste was applied on the recommendation of a relative who thought it would heal. After 24 hours, the patient experiences pain and blisters on her arm, which is why she decides to make an appointment with her primary care nurse for evaluation.
