El priapismo es la erección patológica y mantenida del pene y si no se resuelve de forma rápida puede conllevar disfunción eréctil permanente. A pesar de que el priapismo requiere un tratamiento inmediato, este variará dependiendo del tipo que sea, si de alto flujo o no isquémico, o de bajo flujo o isquémico. Sin embargo, en ambas variantes el tiempo resulta fundamental. En este artículo se presenta el caso de un paciente que, tras horas de evolución, ingresa de urgencia debido a esta patología.

This article presents the case of a patient who, after hours of evolution, is admitted to the emergency room due to this condition.
