La litiasis biliar está caracterizada por una inflamación de la vesícula biliar que es causada por la presencia de cálculos en su interior. Puede cursar con síntomas siendo el más común el cólico biliar.
Es una enfermedad con elevada morbimortalidad, pudiendo presentar diferentes complicaciones con más o menos gravedad.
Existen tres síndromes clínicos de la litiasis biliar que trataremos en este artículo: litiasis biliar asintomática, colecistitis aguda y coledocolitiasis, presentando cada uno un tratamiento diferente.
Por último detallamos un plan de cuidados para estos pacientes formulando los diagnósticos enfermeros que podríamos encontrar ante una persona que pasa por las diferentes etapas de la enfermedad.
Gallstones are characterized by inflammation of the gallbladder that is caused by the presence of stones inside. It can cause symptoms, the most common being biliary colic.
It is a disease with high morbidity and mortality, and can present different complications with more or less severity.
There are three clinical syndromes of gallstones that we will discuss in this article: asymptomatic gallstones, acute cholecystitis and choledocholithiasis, each presenting a different treatment.
Finally, we detail a care plan for these patients, formulating the nursing diagnoses that we could find in a person who goes through the different stages of the disease.
