En las últimas décadas se ha hecho de notar un incremento considerable de patologías asociadas a las infecciones. El aumento de la prevalencia de estas enfermedades se debe en gran medida a una mala asepsia, centrándose sobre todo en el mal cuidado de las heridas, lo cual provoca dicha infección. Esta debe ser tratada de forma adecuada, ya que puede llegar a causar incluso la muerte.
En el caso de nuestro paciente, su infección derivó en una artritis séptica. Ésta se caracteriza por la inflamación aguda de la membrana sinovial, causada por agentes infecciosos, los cuales provocan el deterioro del cartílago articular.
Se presenta un caso clínico de un paciente varón con artritis séptica. Para ello, se utilizó un plan de cuidados siguiendo los patrones funcionales de Virginia Henderson, necesitando hacer hincapié en la educación sanitaria, ya que nuestro paciente en un principio no quiso someterse al tratamiento antibiótico, y la taxonomía NANDA, NOC, NIC.
During the last decades there has been a noticeable increase of pathologies associated with infections. The increment of the prevalence of these diseases is due to -on a large scale- a bad asepsis, focusing, above all, on the wrong treatment of wounds, which provokes said infection. This should be treated in an adequate way, considering that it can lead to deadh.
In the case of our patient, his infection derived in a septic arthritis. This is characterized by an acute inflammation of the synovium, caused by infectious agents, which provoke the deterioration of the articular cartilage.
It is presented as a clinical case of a male patient with septic arthritis. To that end, it was used a care plan following the functional patterns of Virginia Henderson, needing to emphasize sanitary education as our patient, initially, did not want to be put through the antibiotic treatment, and the NANDA, NOC, NIC taxonomy.
