La hemicolectomía derecha laparoscópica consiste en extirpar el ciego, el colon ascendente y parte del colon transverso, siendo indicada para tratar cáncer, poliposis, enfermedad inflamatoria intestinal, obstrucción, colitis isquémica, angiodisplasia y diverticulitis.
La preparación prequirúrgica incluye limpieza del colon y profilaxis antibiótica. Durante la cirugía, se inserta un laparoscopio y se separa el colon afectado, seguido de la anastomosis de las partes restantes del intestino. La técnica laparoscópica, menos invasiva que la laparotomía, reduce riesgos y facilita la recuperación. El personal de enfermería es crucial en todas las etapas, desde la preparación preoperatoria hasta el monitoreo postoperatorio, asegurando el éxito de la intervención y el bienestar del paciente.
Right laparoscopic hemicolectomy involves removing the cecum, ascending colon, and part of the transverse colon, and is indicated for treating cancer, polyposis, inflammatory bowel disease, obstruction, ischemic colitis, angiodysplasia, and diverticulitis.
Pre-surgical preparation includes colon cleansing and antibiotic prophylaxis. During surgery, a laparoscope is inserted, and the affected colon is separated, followed by the anastomosis of the remaining parts of the intestine. The laparoscopic technique, being less invasive than laparotomy, reduces risks and facilitates recovery. Nursing staff play a crucial role at all stages, from preoperative preparation to postoperative monitoring, ensuring the success of the intervention and the patient’s well-being.
