El trasplante de páncreas ofrece la cura de la enfermedad a aquellas personas que padecen diabetes mellitus. Este trasplante se usa solamente en personas que presentan graves complicaciones de esta enfermedad, principalmente a personas con diabetes mellitus tipo 1. Este tipo de trasplante se realiza a muy pocas personas, comparado con otros tipos de trasplantes, y no se lleva a cabo en muchas ciudades, por lo que no hay muchos estudios acerca de ello. Los trasplantes pueden provocar algunas complicaciones psicológicas en ciertas personas y los profesionales sanitarios no son conocedores de muchas de ellas.
Por todo esto, se va a llevar a cabo un estudio cualitativo de tipo fenomenológico, en el que se va a investigar el posible impacto psicológico que ha podido provocar este trasplante a estos pacientes. Toda esta información se obtendrá realizando entrevistas en el Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, siendo este líder nacional de trasplantes realizados al año. Las entrevistas serán grabadas mediante una grabadora de voz, se transcriben los audios a través del programa Talktyper y los datos que se obtengan se analizarán mediante el software NVivo.

This type of transplantation is performed in very few people, compared to other types of transplantation, and it is not performed in many cities, so there are not many studies about it. Transplants can cause some psychological complications in certain people and health professionals are not aware of many of them.
For all these reasons, a qualitative phenomenological study will be carried out to investigate the possible psychological impact that this transplant may have had on these patients. All this information will be obtained by conducting interviews at theClínic Hospital in Barcelona, which is the national leader in the number of transplants performed per year. The interviews will be recorded using a voice recorder, the audios will be transcribed using the Talktyper program and the data obtained will be analyzed using NVivo software.
