El triaje es un servicio que se encuentra en las urgencias de la mayoría de los hospitales. El trabajo de triaje es realizado por el personal de enfermería, con quienes los pacientes tienen su primer contacto, se encargan de recibirlos y posteriormente les realizan una evaluación clínica y les asignan un nivel de prioridad, para poder ser atendidos por el médico. Cuando la demanda en el servicio aumenta, es más complicado realizar un buen triaje, y es ahí cuando debe ser rápido, efectivo y de calidad.
Para poder trabajar en triaje se necesita realizar un curso, donde se forma al personal de enfermería con clases teóricas y prácticas. Estudiar si es correcta la formación que recibe el personal de enfermería, al mismo tiempo que, conocer su grado de satisfacción con el sistema de triaje utilizado, nos puede ayudar a mejorar la calidad asistencial que se presta en las urgencias y a saber cómo podemos afrontar mejor los colapsos sanitarios que se generan en estos servicios.
El estudio va a tener lugar en el Servicio de Urgencias del Hospital Miguel Servet de Zaragoza, y la población de estudio la integrará el personal de enfermería. Todas las variables de estudio están recogidas en un cuestionario de elaboración propia, que deberán rellenar nuestros participantes y que parte de la muestra hará en dos ocasiones, antes y después de realizar el curso de triaje, de esta manera estudiaremos la formación. El análisis estadístico de los datos se llevará a cabo de manera cuantitativa con el programa informático SPSS.
Triage is a service found in the emergency room of most hospitals. The triage work is carried out by the nursing staff, with whom the patients have their first contact, they oversee receiving them and later they carry out a clinical evaluation and assign them a priority level, to be attended by the doctor. When the demand for the service increases, it is more complicated to carry out a good triage, and that is when it must be fast, effective and of quality.
To be able to work in triage, you need to take a course, where nursing staff are trained with theoretical and practical classes. Studying whether the training received by the nursing staff is correct, while knowing their degree of satisfaction with the triage system used, can help us to improve the quality of care provided in emergencies and to know how we can better deal with the sanitary collapses that are generated in these services.
The study will take place in the Emergency Department of the Miguel Servet Hospital in Zaragoza, and the study population will be made up of nursing staff. All the study variables are collected in a self-prepared questionnaire, which our participants must fill out and which part of the sample will do twice, before and after completing the triage course, in this way we will study the training. The statistical analysis of the data will be conducted quantitatively with the SPSS computer program.
