Dentro de las situaciones de urgencias que nos podemos encontrar en el ambiente sanitario una de las mas importantes es el shock. En España se registran al año unos 50.000 casos de sepsis y alrededor de 17000 fallecimientos. Teniendo en cuenta que el shock séptico es solo uno de los siete tipos de shocks podemos deducir que este estado patológico es de especial importancia. A través de este trabajo monográfico expondremos que es un shock, los diferentes tipos del mismo, su tratamiento y la actuación por parte de la enfermería a la hora de enfrentarse a ellos.
Among the emergency situations that we can find in the health environment, one of the most important is shock. In Spain there are about 50,000 cases of sepsis and about 17,000 deaths per year. Taking into account that septic shock is only one of the seven types of shock, we can deduce that this pathological state is of special importance. Through this monographic work we will explain what a shock is, the different types of shock, its treatment and the nursing action to be taken when dealing with it.
