El ictus es una enfermedad con un gran impacto sanitario, económico y social a nivel mundial. Se debe considerar como una emergencia médica, por lo que una identificación rápida y un adecuado tratamiento, junto con la necesidad de desarrollar un plan de cuidados de enfermería, es vital para que tanto los pacientes como sus respectivos cuidadores tengan los conocimientos e información suficiente para conseguir una mejor recuperación funcional.
Stroke is a disease with a great health, economic and social impact worldwide. It should be considered a medical emergency, so rapid identification and appropriate treatment, along with the need to develop a nursing care plan, is vital so that both patients and their respective caregivers have sufficient knowledge and information to achieve better functional recovery.
