El Lupus eritematoso sistémico (LES) es una enfermedad autoinmune que puede debutar en edad pediátrica. Las manifestaciones clínicas son similares a las observadas en edad adulta. La nefritis lúpica (NL) es la manifestación más frecuente y se presenta con mayor gravedad, determinando la evolución y el pronóstico de los pacientes. El grado de afectación visible en la biopsia renal determinará la línea de tratamiento. Presentamos el caso de una paciente mujer adolescente con afectación renal al diagnóstico de LES.
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLc) is an autoimmune disease that can onset during pediatric age. The clinical manifestations are similar to those observed in adults. Lupus nephritis is the most common manifestation and presents with greater severity, determining the patients’ progression and prognosis. The histologic severity found in the renal biopsy guides treatment. We present the case of a female adolescent patient with renal injury when diagnosed with lupus.
