La infección por Mycobacterium tuberculosis es muy frecuente en el mundo, pero las manifestaciones cutáneas son relativamente infrecuentes. Solo un 15% de las tuberculosis son extrapulmonares, y menos de un 2% de éstas son formas de tuberculosis cutáneas.
En este artículo vamos a presentar un caso clínico de una infección cutánea verdadera por M. tuberculosis, que se produjo por inoculación directa. Repasaremos también las diferentes manifestaciones cutáneas que pueden aparecer en la tuberculosis y cómo sospechar esta entidad para conseguir llegar a un diagnóstico precoz.
Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection is very frequent in humans, but it is rarely manifested as a cutaneous disease. Only 15% of the total infections are extrapulmonary infections, and of these less than 2% are cutaneous forms. Bellow we will introduce a case report about a patient who suffered a True Cutaneous Tuberculosis, caused by direct inoculation of M. tuberculosis. We will also review the main cutaneous manifestation that may occur in this disease, and how to suspect this entity to get an early diagnosis.
