En el ámbito de la salud laboral, la realización de pruebas funcionales es fundamental para evaluar la aptitud de los trabajadores y garantizar su bienestar. Estas pruebas forman parte del examen de salud de los trabajadores y por lo tanto se consideran herramientas indispensables para la evaluación del criterio de aptitud, así como para conocer el estado de salud y la afectación (si la hubiera) del entorno laboral sobre el trabajador. Estas pruebas funcionales incluyen (entre otras extracción de sangre, audiometrías, espirometrías, campimetrías, control de visión y electro-cardiogramas.La adecuada ejecución de estas requiere no solo una técnica depurada, sino también un conocimiento profundo de los criterios científicos que las sustentan. Por ello, es crucial que sean realizadas por enfermeros especialistas en en-fermería del trabajo, quienes poseen la titulación y cualificación profesional necesarias para asegurar la fiabilidad y precisión de los resultados, así como la pericia suficiente para ejecutarlas con amplios criterios de calidad y poder hacer una evaluación del resultado final de las mismas.
In the field of occupational health, conducting functional tests is essential for evaluating workers’ fitness and ensur-ing their well-being. These tests are part of workers’ health examinations and are therefore considered indispens-able tools for assessing fitness criteria, as well as understanding workers’ health status and any impact the work environment may have on them. These functional tests include (among others, these are the most common) blood draws, audiometries, spirometries, campimetries, vision control, and electrocardiograms.The proper execution of these tests requires not only refined technique but also a deep understanding of the sci-entific criteria that underpin them. Therefore, it is crucial that these tests are conducted by specialist occupational health nurses, who possess the necessary qualifications and professional expertise to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as well as the skill to perform them with a high standard of quality and to evaluate the final outcomes comprehensively.
