Los seres humanos nos comunicamos de diversas maneras entre nosotros, siendo la comunicación verbal la principal y más directa para expresar emociones, órdenes y por supuesto, conversar. En un entorno hospitalario el uso del lenguaje verbal, cobra mucha más importancia puesto que el personal sanitario tiene la responsabilidad de tratar con pacientes y familiares y entre sí, un uso no correcto del lenguaje puede dar lugar a equívocos y malas interpretaciones generando malestar entre pacientes que se encuentren en una situación vulnerable y que, en un momento determinado, pueden no ser dueños de sus reacciones y pagarlo con el personal que les atiende. Por eso el uso de un lenguaje saludable, cobra más importancia que nunca.
Human beings communicate in various ways with each other, verbal communication being the main and most direct way to express emotions, orders and of course, converse. In a hospital environment, the use of verbal language becomes much more important since healthcare personnel have the responsibility of dealing with patients and family members and with each other. An incorrect use of language can lead to misunderstandings and misinterpretations, generating discomfort among patients. They are in a vulnerable situation and that at a given moment, they may not be masters of their reactions and may pay for it with the staff who cares for them. That is why the use of healthy language is more important than ever.
