Paciente de 74 años diagnosticado hace años de diabetes mellitus tipo 2, con un aparente control de la enfermedad y un estilo de vida saludable. Sin embargo, tras la lenta cicatrización de una pequeña herida en el pie, el paciente acude preocupado a la consulta de enfermería. Por esta razón, se realiza un plan de cuidados individualizado que ayudará no solo a la correcta curación de la herida, sino también a realizar una valoración completa del pie del paciente. Además, otro objetivo principal será educar al paciente y familiares en los cuidados necesarios del pie diabético, sus riesgos y complicaciones.
