La Epidermólisis bullosa es una enfermedad hereditaria de muy baja prevalencia caracterizada por una hiperfragilidad mucocutánea y la formación de ampollas ante traumatismos mínimos. La enfermedad supone un problema de salud con importantes repercusiones para el paciente y su familia, que deben reconocerse y ser tratados adecuadamente por un equipo multidisciplinar, especialmente por los profesionales de enfermería.
La siguiente revisión bibliográfica se centrará en el papel de enfermería en el cuidado de la piel y las heridas.
Epidermolysis bullosa is a very low prevalence hereditary disease characterised by mucocutaneous hyperfragility and the formation of blisters after minor trauma. The disease is a health problem with significant repercussions for the patient and family, which must be recognised and treated appropriately by a multidisciplinary team, especially by nursing professionals.
The following literature review will focus on the role of nursing in skin and wound care.
