La aparición de la anemia durante el embarazo es un hecho tan frecuente que motiva realizar una detección precoz al inicio de la gestación, pudiendo así diferenciar entre las gestantes que inician el embarazo con una ferropenia y las que únicamente necesitarán suplementación en la segunda mitad de la gestación.
The appearance of anemia during pregnancy is such a frequent occurrence that it motivates early detection at the beginning of pregnancy, thus being able to differentiate between pregnant women who begin pregnancy with iron deficiency and those who will only need supplementation in the second half of the pregnancy.
