El siguiente caso clínico se centra un paciente con insuficiencia cardíaca congestiva y fibrilación auricular persistente, con antecedentes de hipertensión arterial y diabetes, con síntomas de disnea, edematización de las extremidades inferiores, y necesidad de cardioversión eléctrica pese al desconocimiento y el temor del procedimiento. Durante la entrevista de enfermería se analizan las 14 necesidades de Virginia Henderson y se procede a desarrollar los diagnósticos de enfermería siguiendo la taxonomía NANDA-NIC-NOC. Entre los diagnósticos de enfermería que se trabajan encontramos el patrón respiratorio ineficaz y conocimientos deficientes.
The following clinical case is focused on a patient with congestive heart failure and persistent atrial fibrillation, with a history of hypertension and diabetes, presenting with symptoms of dyspnoea, oedematisation of the lower limbs, and the need for electrical cardioversion despite ignorance and fear of the procedure. During the nursing interview, Virginia Henderson’s 14 needs were analyzed and the nursing diagnoses were developed following the NANDA-NIC-NOC taxonomy. Among the nursing diagnoses that are developed we find ineffective respiratory patterns and deficient knowledge.
