La hemorragia alveolar difusa consiste en la emisión de sangre procedente de los capilares pulmonares. Se caracteriza habitualmente por clínica de disnea, tos y hemoptisis. Ante un episodio compatible con hemorragia alveolar difusa, inicialmente habrá que hacer una evaluación de la gravedad, lo que en definitiva determinará su tratamiento y manejo.
En este documento se realiza una revisión bibliográfica dónde se exponen los puntos clave para el manejo de una hemorragia alveolar difusa desde el servicio de urgencias y su posterior tratamiento hospitalario.
Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage is the emission of blood from the pulmonary capillaries. It is usually characterized by dyspnea, cough and hemoptysis. In the event of an episode compatible with diffuse alveolar hemorrhage, an initial assessment of the severity should be made, which will ultimately determine its treatment and management.
In this document a bibliographic review is made where the key points for the management of diffuse alveolar hemorrhage from the emergency department and its subsequent hospital treatment are exposed.
