Descripción de los métodos de aporte de oxígeno no invasivo y sus características es el tema que queremos exponer. Tras una lectura de varias guías clínicas, búsqueda avanzada en diferentes revistas sanitarias y un escrutinio de los materiales encontrados, quisiéramos exponer una revisión práctica del uso de los diferentes métodos de aporte de oxígeno, y sus características.
Pensamos que debemos valorar más exhaustivamente en las unidades de hospitalización y atención primaria la necesidad de aporte de oxígeno a los flujos necesarios, y poder entender, desde la visión enfermera, las variaciones según las necesidades reales que presentan los pacientes.
Al ser una técnica rápida para el aporte de oxígeno, segura y de fácil manejo, quisiéramos profundizar en ella para darle la importancia que se merece.
Objetivo: Exponer las diferencias de cada método de aporte de oxígeno no invasivo. Valorar los cuidados enfermeros en la oxigenoterapia no invasiva.
Metodología: Realizamos una revisión de guías y artículos de manejo de la oxigenoterapia no invasiva, cribando los artículos que no nos aportan datos necesarios para nuestros objetivos, diferenciar los métodos de aporte de oxígeno no invasivo, y obtener las valoraciones y actuaciones en enfermeras. Utilizamos las palabras claves “oxigenoterapia”, “enfermería”, “oxigenoterapia de alto flujo”, “ventilación mecánica no invasiva”.
Description of non-invasive oxygen therapy methods and their characteristics is the subject we wish to present. After reading several clinical guidelines, an advanced search in different health journals and a scrutiny of the materials we found, we would like to present a practical review of the use of the different oxygen therapy methods and their characteristics.
We believe that we should assess more exhaustively in hospitalization and primary care the need for oxygen supply at the necessary flow rates, and be able to understand, from a nursing perspective, the variations according to the real needs of the patients.
As it`s a quick technique for oxygen therapy, for safe and easy use, we would like to study it in depth in order to give it the importance it deserves.
Objective: To explain the differences between each method of non-invasive oxygen therapy. To assess nursing in non-invasive oxygen therapy.
Methodology: We carried out a review of guidelines and articles on the management of non-invasive oxygen therapy, sifting out the articles that did not provide us with the necessary data for our objectives, to differentiate the methods of non-invasive oxygen delivery, and to obtain the assessments and actions in nurses. We used the keywords «oxygen therapy», «nursing», «high-flow oxygen therapy», «non-invasive mechanical ventilation».
