El pectus excavatum es la anomalía más común de la pared torácica. No solo genera grandes problemas estéticos y psicoemocionales, sino que además se acompaña de alteraciones orgánicas severas por compresión cardiaca y pulmonar. A lo largo de la historia se han ido desarrollando terapias invasivas y no invasivas progresivamente más eficaces y eficientes.
Presentamos el caso de tratamiento quirúrgico mínimamente invasivo de pectus excavatum.
Pectus excavatum is the most common anomaly of the chest wall. It not only generates major aesthetic and psycho-emotional problems, but it is also accompanied by serious organic alterations due to cardiac and pulmonary compression. Throughout history, progressively more effective and efficient invasive and non-invasive therapies have been developed.
We present the case of minimally invasive surgical treatment of pectus excavatum.
