En los últimos años ha crecido el uso del TC-PET, fundamentalmente, por los numerosos beneficios que aporta la unión de ambas pruebas a la hora de diagnosticar y planificar los tratamientos en el campo de la oncología. En esta revisión bibliográfica se pretende aportar la información necesaria sobre el funcionamiento, las ventajas y desventajas, las indicaciones y la preparación previa que requiere esta prueba diagnóstica. Además, se ha realizado un plan de cuidados estandarizado con los principales diagnósticos NANDA junto con sus correspondientes NOC y NIC que se identifican en todo paciente que se somete a un TC-PET para poder proporcionar unos cuidados de calidad, con el máximo bienestar al paciente durante el procedimiento.
In recent years, the use of CT-PET has grown, mainly due to the numerous benefits that the union of both tests brings when diagnosing and planning treatments in the field of oncology. This bibliographic review aims to provide the necessary information on the operation, advantages and disadvantages, indications and prior preparation required by this diagnostic test. In addition, a standardized care plan has been drawn up with the main NANDA diagnoses together with their corresponding NOC and NIC that are identified in all patients who undergo a PET-CT scan in order to provide quality care, providing maximum well-being to the patient during the procedure.
