En medicina, al poder existir diferentes técnicas útiles para tratar cada caso planteado, y todas ellas resultar igualmente válidas, hay que determinar cuál es la “verdadera y típicamente” aplicable al caso específico, partiendo de la base de que no siempre el criterio será unívoco al existir diversas técnicas válidas, correctas y conformes a la lex artis en función de los conocimientos de la ciencia y del estado del saber.
