La covid-19 es una enfermedad producida por el virus SARS-COV 2. Esta enfermedad produce fiebre, tos, fatiga, dificultad para respirar, náuseas o vómitos, diarrea entre muchos otros. El 80% de las personas que desarrollan la enfermedad se recuperan sin tratamiento hospitalario, el 15% requiere ingreso hospitalario para recibir oxígeno y el otro 5% precisa cuidados intensivos. En este caso clínico se va a tratar a un paciente diagnosticado de COVID-19 el cual ha requerido ingreso hospitalario y ha precisado de oxígeno para mantener los niveles de saturación estables. Aquí se desarrollarán tanto los diagnósticos enfermeros como los objetivos, actividades e intervenciones que se han realizado a un paciente con esta enfermedad.
Covid-19 is a disease caused by the SARS-COV2 virus. This disease causes fever, cough, fatigue, shortness of breath, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea and many others. Eighty percent of people who develop the disease recover without hospital treatment, 15% require hospital admission for oxygen and the other 5% require intensive care. In this clinical case we are going to treat a patient diagnosed with COVID-19 who has required hospital admission and has needed oxygen to maintain stable saturation levels. Here we will develop the nursing diagnoses as well as the objectives, activities and interventions that have been performed on a patient with this disease.
