La diabetes es una enfermedad crónica, en la que hay un defecto en la fabricación de insulina. Las células del cuerpo no pueden utilizar los azúcares que se toman con los alimentos y éstos comienzan a aumentar en la sangre. Existen varios tipos de diabetes, este trabajo se centra en la diabetes tipo 1, es la que afecta mayoritariamente a la edad infantil.
Diabetes is a chronic disease, in which there is a defect in the manufacture of insulin. The cells of the body cannot use the sugars that are taken with the food and these begin to increase in the blood. There are several types of diabetes, this work focuses on type 1 diabetes, it is the one that mainly affects children.
