El objetivo del estudio fue analizar las alertas farmacéuticas y su tipo que afectaron a fármacos de urgencias incluidas en la guía farmacoterapéutica de un servicio de urgencias y emergencias extrahospitalarias durante el año 2019.
Material y método: Se incluyeron en el análisis todas las alertas farmacéuticas emitidas por la AEMPS desde enero de 2019 a diciembre de 2019.
Se clasificaron la alertas según el tipo de alerta farmacéutica: alerta por problema de suministro, alerta de calidad de medicamentos, alerta de seguridad y se analizaron todas aquellas alertas que afectaban a medicamentos incluidos en la guía farmacoterapéutica del Servicio de Urgencias y Emergencias extrahospitalarias.
Resultados: Tras el análisis de todas las alertas farmacéuticas emitidas por la AEMPS se gestionaron durante el año 2019 un total de 458 alertas farmacéuticas, de las cuales 428 (93%) alertas estaban relacionadas con problemas de suministros de medicamentos por parte de los laboratorios proveedores, 24 (5,24%) estaban relacionadas con problemas de calidad de medicamentos y únicamente 6 (1,31%) han estado relacionadas con problemas de seguridad de medicamentos. De todas ellas, sólo 16 alertas farmacéuticas afectan a fármacos incluidos en la guía farmacoterapéutica del Servicio de Urgencias , siendo más del 95% de ellas relacionadas con problemas de suministro por parte de los laboratorios proveedores. Conclusiones: El análisis y gestión de alertas sanitarias es una función prioritaria actividad de los Servicios de Farmacia que debe realizar de manera coordinada con los equipos de enfermería que están en continuo contacto con los stock de medicamentos.
Objective: The objective of the study was to analyze the pharmaceutical alerts and their type that affected emergency drugs included in the pharmacotherapeutic guide of an emergency and out-of-hospital emergency service during 2019.
Material and method: All pharmaceutical alerts issued by the AEMPS from January 2019 to December 2019 were included in the analysis.
Alerts were classified according to the type of pharmaceutical alert: supply problem alert, medication quality alert, safety alert, and all alerts affecting medications included in the pharmacotherapeutic guide of the Emergency and Out-of-Hospital Emergency Service were analyzed.
Results: After analyzing all the pharmaceutical alerts issued by the AEMPS, a total of 458 pharmaceutical alerts were managed during 2019, of which 428 (93%) alerts were related to drug supply problems by supplier laboratories, 24 (5.24%) were related to drug quality problems and only 6 (1.31%) were related to drug safety problems. Of all of them, only 16 pharmaceutical alerts affected drugs included in the Pharmacotherapeutic guide of the Emergency Service, being more than 95% of them related to supply problems by the supplier laboratories. Conclusions: The analysis and management of health alerts is a priority activity of the Pharmacy Services that must be carried out in a coordinated manner with the nursing teams that are in continuous contact with the stock of medicines.
