El relato muestra las vivencias de una madre que tras pocos días de una enfermedad muy inespecífica y a priori banal de su hija pequeña, se tiene que enfrentar a un diagnóstico de un tumor cerebral con un pronóstico grave e incierto y un tratamiento martirizador con numerosos ciclos de quimioterapia, radioterapia y once intervenciones quirúrgicas. Nos cuenta cómo le cambia la escala de valores y su vida entera, afectando tanto a su entorno personal, familiar y profesional, y cómo asume el papel de "tragármelo todo y no exteriorizar" para no preocupar a su familia y que los demás no le tengan lástima.
His story brings out the experiences of a mother who, after an initially trifle, very unspecific disease her little daughter came down with, has to eventually face up against a brain tumour diagnosis thereof. To make things worse it gets followed by a serious, uncertain prognosis together with a martyrdomsome treatment and a number of chemo and radiotherapy cycles, as well as eleven surgery interventions. The narration tellsus how throughout that all both her set of values and her whole life go through a complete shake up, affecting as well her personal, family and professional environment, and how she chokes it back so as not to worry her family nor being felt sorry by everybody else.
