Along the last few years, Science has experienced great advances within new technologies and techniques. This, which should be positive in principle, may become dangerous if an inadequate use of these new procedures is made.
All this shows the necessity of an urgent reflection about the problems that might derive from the use or abuse of Science; Bioethics is in charge of this reflection, and will try to lead scientific activities towards the common benefit.
Parallel to Bioethics, constitutions, laws, rules and international deals must be developed in order to control the consequences of these new techniques and, at the same time, forbid the development of those technologies that might result dangerous for mankind.
It is because of this that profound debates become necessary, to establish a balance among Science, Law, Politics and Ethics.
