Objetivo: describir la situación laboral, formativa e investigadora de la primera promoción de Especialistas en Enfermería Familiar y Comunitaria (EeFyC) un año después de acabar la residencia, así como sus perspectivas de futuro en estos temas. Describir la satisfacción laboral y formativa.
Metodología: estudio descriptivo observacional transversal con una muestra por conveniencia de 59 EeFyC de la primera promoción mediante encuesta ad hoc.
Resultados: el 61,01% de los EeFyC ha trabajado en Atención Primaria o Salud Pública, de ellos el 41,67% lo hizo menos de tres meses. El 83,05% no ve salida laboral a corto plazo. El 89,83% ha realizado alguna actividad formativa relacionada con la especialidad. El 59,32% ha emprendido o realizado algún proyecto de investigación.
Conclusiones: queda patente la disparidad del ámbito de trabajo de las EeFyC una vez terminada la residencia. Se valora positivamente que más de la mitad ha desarrollado proyectos de investigación y actividades formativas.
Purpose: To describe current working, educational and research status of nurses belonging to the first group of nurses completing education as nurse specialists in Family and Community Nursing (FCN), one year after having completed their residence, and to report on their future perspectives on such matters. To describe their employment and educational satisfaction.
Methods: A descriptive, observational study on a convenience cross-sectional simple including 59 nurses belonging to the first group of nurses completing education as nurse specialists in FCN, by means of an ad hoc survey.
Results: 61.01% of FCN nurses had worked in Primary Care of Public Health (41.67% of them for less than three months). 83.05% did not expect any immediate employment opportunity. Some educational activity related to the specialty had been performed by 89.83%. A research project had been started or completed by 59.32%.
Conclusions: A disparity in working setting after completing their residence is clearly shown in FCN nurse specialists. The fact that more than half of them were involved in research projects or educational activities is highly valued.
