Con este estudio de caso pretendemos aclarar el concepto de parálisis cerebral infantil (PCI), su origen, posibles causas y factores de riesgo. Además de observar la evolución de la enfermedad en un paciente tipo, haciendo especial énfasis en el tratamiento fisioterápico, su adaptación a posibles cambios sintomatológicos y el beneficio que este puede aportar al paciente, tanto en el desarro - llo motor del niño como en su calidad de vida. Todo ello haciendo uso de la literatura existente mediante una comparación objetiva entre los resultados obtenidos en los estudios encontrados y los resultados de nuestro seguimiento de caso.
This study pretends to define the concept of infant cerebral palsy (ICP), its origins, its possible causes and risk factors. In addition to observe the illness ́ evolution over a model patient, making special emphasis in the physiotherapeutic treatment, his adaptation to possible symptom changes and the improvements that this treatments can report to the patient, as much as to its motor development as to its quality of live. All this making use of the existing scientific literature through an objective comparison between the results from the found studies and the results obtained from our study case.
