La enfermedad de Crohn es una afección inflamatoria crónica del intestino de origen desconocido, caracterizada por una respuesta inmune anormal que se manifiesta en fases de actividad y remisión. Puede afectar a cualquiera de las partes del tracto gastrointestinal, desde la boca hasta el ano, afectando de manera transmural y de forma discontinua. Los síntomas más comunes incluyen dolor abdominal y diarrea, lo que puede afectar significativamente la calidad de vida de quienes la padecen.
En el siguiente estudio presentamos el caso de un paciente con diagnóstico de enfermedad de Crohn. Se realizó en primer lugar una valoración y diagnóstico, planificando posteriormente un plan de cuidados, implementación de las acciones y la evaluación de los resultados obtenidos.
Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition of the intestine with an unknown origin, characterized by an abnormal immune response that manifests in phases of activity and remission. It can affect any part of the gastrointestinal tract, from the mouth to the anus, impacting the tissue in a transmural and patchy manner. The most common symptoms include abdominal pain and diarrhea, which can significantly affect the quality of life of those who suffer from it.
In the following study, we present the case of a patient diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. An initial assessment and diagnosis were conducted, followed by the planning of a care plan, the implementation of actions, and the evaluation of the results obtained.
