La apropiación cultural en las representaciones sociales mexicanas se ha convertido en una constante; ante ello, el artículo tiene como objetivo comprender las causas que han propiciado el cambio cultural en los fenómenos mexicanos a través de la influencia cultural extranjera.
La globalización ha favorecido que las culturas nativas se apropien de elementos: simbólicos, líricos, gastronómicos, etc., no propios. Como resultado, diversos grupos culturales modifican sus prácticas o las adaptan. Ante lo expuesto, el artículo exalta el concepto de apropiación cultural y la relación con diversos grupos sociales y como éstos han ido cambiando y adaptando sus acciones por medio de la influencia cultural, el cine, las tradiciones y costumbres etcétera.
Cultural appropriation in Mexican social representations has become a constant; in light of this, the article aims to understand the causes that have led to cultural change in Mexican phenomena through foreign cultural influence. Globalization has encouraged native cultures to appropriate elements that are not their own: symbolic, lyrical, gastronomic, etc. As a result, various cultural groups modify or adapt their practices. Given the above, this article highlights the concept of cultural appropriation and its relationship with various social groups, and how these groups have changed and adapted their actions through cultural influence, cinema, traditions, customs, etc.
