Este artículo analiza cómo las infancias perciben y utilizan los espacios comunes según su vivencia en contextos de igualdad formal, empleando cartografía participativa. Mediante un taller donde intervenían un croquis de su escuela, niñas y niños identificaron sus espacios preferidos y aquellos que evitan. Los hallazgos revelaron: 1) la importancia transversal de las canchas de fútbol, tanto para unas como otros; y 2) diferencias significativas en las formas de comprender y apropiarse del espacio según el sexo.
This article analyzes how girls and boys perceive and use shared spaces based on their lived experiences in contexts of formal equality, employing participatory mapping. In an interactive activity where they intervened a blueprint of their school, girls and boys identified their preferred spaces and those they avoid. The findings revealed: 1) the universal importance of soccer fields for both girls and boys alike, and 2) significant differences in how space is understood and appropriated depending on sex.
