Introducción: se realizó una descripción cualitativa de colaboración sobre la información más actual acerca de la terapia ocupacional: acciones y rol dentro del ámbito laboral que subyace de la necesidad de identificar las principales acciones que competen a los profesionales en terapia ocupacional; con la finalidad de identificar la importancia que tienen dentro de las múltiples ocupaciones de la persona. Método: esta revisión incluyó una búsqueda exhaustiva de artículos, libros y marcos oficiales de autores expertos en el tema que han discutido sobre el tema; en donde se detectó varias problemáticas con relación en su mayoría a los siguientes aspectos: a) la escasez de información acerca del tema, b) el año de actualización de los estudios, c) falta de artículos y estudios relacionados al tema abordado, e) poca evidencia científica. Conclusión: se llega a la conclusión de la importancia y falta que se tiene por realizar más estudios que se centren y aborden sobre el tema.
Introduction: A qualitative collaborative description was conducted based on the most current information on occupational therapy: actions and roles within the workplace that underlie the need to identify the main actions of occupational therapy professionals, in order to identify their importance within the individual's multiple occupations. Method: This review included an exhaustive search of articles, books, and official frameworks written by expert authors who have discussed the topic. Several problems were detected, mostly related to the following aspects: a) the scarcity of information on the topic; b) the year in which the studies were updated; c) a lack of articles and studies related to the topic; and e) limited scientific evidence. Conclusion: The conclusion is reached regarding the importance and need for more studies that focus on and address the topic.
