Pericarditis is an inflammatory disease of the pericardium that can compromise cardiac function and endanger the patient’s life if not managed properly. Nursing care plays a vital role in early detection of complications, effective pain management, emotional support, and patient education. Through a structured nursing assessment and care plan, this case study highlights the importance of a comprehensive and patient-centered approach. Monitoring vital signs, controlling thoracic pain, and reducing anxiety are key aspects in the care of patients with acute pericarditis.
