Los derechos de los pacientes en el proceso de morir y de la muerte, es un tema que, pese a su relevancia, permanece poco conocido en la sociedad. Se analizan los principios éticos y jurídicos que garantizan la dignidad, autonomía y bienestar de las personas en esta etapa, explorando aspectos como el consentimiento informado, las voluntades anticipadas, los cuidados paliativos y la limitación del esfuerzo terapéutico, destacando su importancia para humanizar el final de la vida.
The rights of patients in the process of dying and death is a topic that, despite its relevance, remains little known in society. The ethical and legal principles that guarantee the dignity, autonomy and well-being of people at this stage are analyzed, exploring aspects such as informed consent, advance directives, palliative care and the limitation of therapeutic effort, highlighting their importance in humanizing the end of life.
