En el quirófano el celador desempeña funciones propias, además de sus funciones, también las que le sean ordenadas por el personal médico, por los supervisores y enfermeros dentro de sus competencias. El quirófano es un área donde se realizan operaciones quirúrgicas, suele ser un sitio tranquilo y con poco tránsito. El trabajo en el quirófano requiere de medidas de higiene y, además, hay zonas delimitadas para su mejor funcionamiento. Las funciones más destacadas del celador está la de trasladar a los pacientes desde sus habitaciones a las zonas de quirófano, llevando a los enfermos en orden y urgencia que le sean solicitados, otras de las funciones es la de colocar al paciente en la mesa quirúrgica bajo la supervisión del cirujano y, además, dentro del quirófano ayudará al personal de enfermería en la colocación y retirada del paciente en la mesa de operaciones.
In the operating room, the orderly performs their own duties, in addition to their own, as well as those assigned by the medical staff, supervisors, and nurses within their responsibilities. Working in the operating room requires hygiene measures, and there are also designated areas for optimal operation. The orderly’s most important duties include transferring patients from their rooms to the operating room areas, bringing patients in the order and urgency requested. Other duties include positioning the patient on the operating table under the surgeon’s supervision. Within the operating room, they assist the nursing staff in positioning and removing the patient from the operating table.
