Paciente varón de 52 años, con diagnóstico de alcoholismo crónico desde hace más de 20 años. Acude a urgencias por cuadro de deshidratación, temblores, irritabilidad, e insomnio, asociado al síndrome de abstinencia tras varios días sin ingerir alcohol. Vive solo, con escasa red de apoyo, y refiere haber perdido recientemente su empleo. En la entrevista, manifiesta sentimiento de desesperanza, baja autoestima y nulo interés por su autocuidado.
Se elabora un plan de cuidados enfocado a mejorar su adherencia al tratamiento, reducir riesgos derivados del síndrome de abstinencia, trabajar aspectos emocionales relacionados con la adicción y reforzar la red de apoyo psicosocial.

He lives alone, with limited support network, and reports having recently lost his job. During the interview, he expresses feelings of hopelessness, low self-esteem, and no interest in self-care.
A care plan is developed with the following objectives:
Improve treatment adherence.
Reduce risks associated with withdrawal syndrome.
Address emotional aspects related to addiction.
Strengthen psychosocial support networks.
