Paciente masculino de 8 años con diagnóstico de Trastorno por Déficit de Atención e Hiperactividad (TDAH), en seguimiento por consulta de salud mental infanto-juvenil. Acude acompañado por su madre, quien refiere dificultades para mantener la atención durante las clases, inquietud constante, impulsividad y frustración frecuente ante límites o cambios de rutina. Está siendo tratado con metilfenidato de liberación prolongada, con respuesta parcial.
Se plantea un plan de cuidados orientado a reforzar habilidades sociales, favorecer la adherencia al tratamiento, apoyar a la familia en el manejo conductual y mejorar el rendimiento escolar y emocional del menor.
An 8-year-old male patient diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), currently under follow-up in a child and adolescent mental health clinic. He attends accompanied by his mother, who reports difficulties maintaining attention during classes, constant restlessness, impulsivity, and frequent frustration when faced with limits or changes in routine. He is being treated with extended-release methylphenidate, with partial response.
A care plan has been proposed aimed at strengthening social skills, promoting adherence to treatment, supporting the family in behavioral management, and improving the child’s academic and emotional performance.
