TRALI y TACO constituyen reacciones adversas transfusionales, y ambas están asociadas a una importante morbimortalidad. Su incidencia global es baja, pero, sin embargo, constituyen entidades notoriamente infradiagnosticadas y poco reportadas. Por tanto, su reconocimiento temprano y la distinción entre ambas entidades aún suponen un esfuerzo y un reto diagnóstico.
TRALI and TACO constitute adverse transfusional reactions, and both of them are associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Their global incidence is low, but, nevertheless, they constitute entities that are notoriously underdiagnosed and underreported. Therefore, their early recognition and the distinction between both entities still represent an effort and a challenge.
