Introducción: el virus de la inmunodeficiencia humana (VIH), causante del síndrome de la inmunodeficiencia adquirida (SIDA), debilita nuestro sistema inmune, y se transmite solo si la persona es seropositiva y, a través de diferentes líquidos corporales. En estos últimos años han aparecido nuevas prácticas sexuales que favorecen su propagación, estas son el Chemsex y el Slamming.
El Chemsex consiste en el uso intenso de drogas ilegales en un entorno sexual y el Slamming, igualmente, en consumo de drogas, pero esta vez inyectadas.
En diferentes ciudades de España, existen programas de intercambio de jeringuillas, en los que suministran kits de inyección segura para prevenir infecciones por VIH y otras enfermedades de transmisión sexual.
Si una persona no tiene el virus, pero está muy expuesto a poder contraerlo, se les aconseja junto a otras medidas profilácticas, la prescripción de un tratamiento diario vía oral, compuesto por dos antirretrovirales frente al VIH conocido como profilaxis pre-exposición (PrEP).
Objetivo: el objetivo del trabajo será informar y dar a conocer la PrEP a la población en general, pero haciendo hincapié en los profesionales sanitarios y en personas que puedan estar muy expuestas a contraer una infección por VIH.
Metodología: el trabajo llevado a cabo es una propuesta que contiene un análisis de conocimientos de la población (sanitaria y no sanitaria) frente a la PrEP, el Chemsex y Slamming, seguido de una captura de información para averiguar la cantidad de centros hospitalarios de Aragón que dispensan PrEP y, por último, una campaña informativa para todos los centros hospitalarios y ONGs de Zaragoza que estén interesados en ampliar sus conocimientos sobre estos temas.
Introduction: The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), which causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), weakens our immune system, and is transmitted only when a person is HIV positive and through different bodily fluids. In recent years, new sexual practices that favor its propagation have appeared, namely Chemsex and Slamming.
Chemsex consists of the intense use of illegal drugs in a sexual environment and Slamming, likewise, but this time by injection.
In several Spanish cities, there are syringe exchange programs, in which safe injection kits are provided to prevent HIV infections and other sexually transmitted diseases.
If a person does not have the virus, but is at high risk of contracting it, they are advised, along with other prophylactic measures, to take a daily oral treatment consisting of two antiretroviral drugs against HIV known as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).
Objective: the aim of the study is to inform and raise awareness of PrEP among the general population, with emphasis on health professionals and people who may be at high risk of HIV infection.
Methodology: the work carried out is a proposal that contains an analysis of knowledge of the population (health and non-health workers) about PrEP, Chemsex and Slamming, followed by an information capture to find out the number of hospitals in Aragon that dispense PrEP and, finally, an information campaign for all hospitals and NGOs in Saragossa that are interested in expanding their knowledge on these issues.
