Este caso es sobre un paciente varón de 30 años, mide 1,87m y pesa 97 kg. Es jugador profesional de baloncesto. Sin antecedentes médicos.
El paciente fue intervenido de ligamentoplastia por rotura del ligamento cruzado anterior de la rodilla derecha. 8 años después va a consulta médica tras presentar dolor, hinchazón y perdida de movilidad en esa misma rodilla. Tras varias pruebas, se confirma que presenta una rotura en el ligamento que le habían puesto previamente. De este modo, se le vuelve a intervenir por ligamentoplastia, pero esta vez con un injerto del banco de tejidos. La operación salió bien y tuvo que estar 6 meses después de la intervención sin practicar baloncesto para una recuperación correcta.
Este artículo tiene el propósito de abordar las necesidades del paciente desde una visión enfermera a través del proceso de atención de enfermería.
Tras la cirugía, el paciente fue ingresado para su recuperación, se le realizó una valoración según las necesidades de Virginia Henderson, se establecieron unos diagnósticos de enfermería, con sus correspondientes NOC, NIC, consiguiendo mejoría en las necesidades alteradas.
En este caso los objetivos principales son prevenir la infección en la herida quirúrgica, ayudar en la movilidad física y controlar el dolor.
This case is about a 30-year-old male patient who is 1.87m tall and weighs 97 kg. He is a professional basketball player. No medical history.
The patient underwent ligamentoplasty for rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the right knee. 8 years later, he went for medical consultation after presenting pain, swelling and loss of mobility in the same knee. After several tests, it was confirmed that he had a rupture in the ligament that had been previously placed. He underwent another ligamentoplasty operation, but this time with a graft from the tissue bank. The operation went well, and he had to spend 6 months after the operation without playing basketball in order to recover properly.
This article aims to address the patient’s needs from a nursing point of view through the nursing care process.
After surgery, the patient was admitted for recovery, an assessment was made according to the needs of Virginia Henderson, nursing diagnoses were established, with their corresponding NOC, NIC, achieving improvement in the altered needs.
In this case, the main objectives were to prevent infection in the surgical wound, help with physical mobility and control pain.
